We are looking for a Finance Operations BMP Transformation Expert (m/f/d), based in Munich. 

  

The Impact You Will Have 

Reporting to the Global Head of Finance Operations, you will be responsible for the operational transformation of Global Finance Operations processes and set-up as part of the multi-year BMP & Combined Credit Control implementation program. As Transformation Expert you act as a bridge between the operational teams in Finance Operations and the BMP / Combined Credit Control implementation team, with a functional link to the Finance Product Owner. 

With a clear understanding of the target system set-up and capabilities, you will ensure proper definition and documentation of target operational processes, as well as enable training to onshore and offshore teams across Finance Operations globally. 

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

  • Analyse, define and document target operational processes for Finance Operations in target state with BMP & Combined Credit Control (CCC).  

  • Ensure processes are harmonized globally to the highest degree possible and that they align well with the processes and set-up of the other key functions in the e2e value chain (e.g. Operations, Claims, Underwriting).  

  • Drive the training of onshore and offshore resources in Finance Operations to ensure proper adoption of the target processes. 

  • Secure operational stability and enable continued productivity/output of Finance Operations. Identify and define work-around solutions where required to cover for temporarily incomplete system functionalities during the BMP/CCC transformation. 

  • Ensure proper monitoring and oversight of Finance Operations related processes in BMP/CCC to secure adherence to target processes, identify process and system issues in an early stage that enable swift resolution, and ensure proper operational controls are in place. 

  • Work with the Finance PO and the BMP project overall, as well as the operational teams in Finance Operations globally, to support in collecting, screening and challenging requirements to the target set-up as part of further global and Line of Business rollouts. 

  • Secure transparency and frequent communication on the progress of the BMP/CCC transformation. Closely work with all operational teams in Global Finance Operations, as well as the other supporting functions (e.g. Operations, Claims) to ensure full alignment on the ongoing transformation. 

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

  • Degree in Business Administration, business informatics, Economics, Accounting or other finance related subjects, or qualified by experience 

  • Several years of experience working with finance and accounting processes 

  • Know-how, experience and strong interest in Finance and mid-office systems in an insurance environment 

  • Proven track record of driving change and leading projects in an international and dynamic environment 

  • Strong analytical skills combined with a high technical affinity (including Excel, Access)  

  • Strong ability to handle complex processes (closing, reporting, finance operations) including understanding of systems and data flows 

  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles and insurance financial statements and their performance measurement including drivers 

  • Technical affinity, e.g. with Finance / insurance (mid-office) systems, reporting systems, G/L systems plus advanced MS O365 skills 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in respect to the audience/level of management 

  • Outstanding intercultural skills to be able to work in an international work environment  

  • Fluent English skills are required, German skills would be advantageous
