We are looking for a Delegated Authority and Portfolios Solutions Manager (m/f/d), based in London. 

  

Your Team  

 

Our team is responsible for executing the Delegated Authority and Portfolio Solutions Underwriting and Distribution strategy whilst ensuring effective governance frameworks are in place. Our collaborative efforts encompass team management, implementation of streamlined processes, and proactive engagement with technical underwriting and operational aspects. Focusing on technical excellence, we strive to uphold the highest standards in managing delegated authority arrangements and portfolio solutions, contributing to the overall success and integrity of Portfolio solutions – a key pillar of growth for Allianz Commercial.   

 

The Impact You Will Have  

 

Reporting to the Regional Head of Delegated Authority and Portfolio Solutions, you will contribute managing the book of delegated underwriting authorities and portfolios by executing the strategy to support underwriting and managing service offerings. 

You will support the management of the team and implement robust yet streamlined governance frameworks for arrangements whilst managing wide-ranging queries from the business, technical underwriting and operational processes. 

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

 

  • Provide leadership, guidance and oversight of the team, offering support with day-to-day queries as required and encourage teamwork and high employee engagement. 
  • Build and implement streamlined processes and procedures to accommodate increasing workload and growth of the portfolio. 
  • Oversee implementation of facility reporting system, Distribind, ensuring the business has visibility on account performance. 
  • Collaborate closely with the Head on Key Strategic Account Partnerships to ensure seamless and effective management of facilities. 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Underwriters, Claims, Compliance, Finance, Actuarial, and operations. 
  • Act as an educator and primary support for underwriters on all technical, facility management, controls, and processes. 
  • Manage and review the deal structures, consulting and agreeing on non-commercial terms and monitor and manage in line with functional rules. 
  • Coordinate the onboarding of new MGA and facilities, as well as renewal contracts. 
  • Demonstrate strong data management skills and capabilities for data interrogation. 

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

 

  • Preferably 5 or more years of experience in the London Delegated or Portfolio Solutions market. 
  • Preferred background includes roles in Delegated Underwriting, Delegated Operations, Technical Operations, or similar. 
  • Preferably, an understanding of and capability to use Bordereaux Management Systems. 
  • Understanding of Xchanging preferred. 
  • Proven problem-solving, multi-tasking, and analytical abilities. 
  • Comfortable working both independently and in a remote environment. 
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize and multitask while maintaining focus on detail and quality of deliverables. 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively and develop/maintain relationships with brokers, underwriters, and various internal departments. 
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, particularly advanced capabilities in Excel.
