We are looking for an Actuarial Expert in Long Tail Lines (m/f/d), based in London or Munich. 

Your Team

You will join the global long tail reserving & analytics team. Our focus is on supporting the business with advanced analytics and intelligent business insights. We work in an international environment with multinational teams. We improve, simplify and streamline. We are a key function at Allianz Commercial ensuring strong balance sheet and financial resilience of the company. 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

• You will independently perform basic actuarial reserving analysis and with limited support take on more challenging reviews. 
• You will leverage your programming and scripting skills to improve and automate various other actuarial tools. 
• Support actuarial function in deriving forward looking Loss Ratios and assessing business cases. 
• You will support monthly closing process and related reporting. 
• Reconcile IFRS 17 and IFRS 4 views and effectively communicate results of both standards to the business. 
• Perform other standard reserving related tasks. 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

• You have at least a Bachelor degree with focus on technical subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Economics or Statistics. 
• You have about 3-5 years of actuarial experience from either of reserving, pricing or risk modelling. 
• P&C sector experience is required, preferably in a corporate sector. 
• You have excellent skills in data manipulation and processing. 
• You are a confident user of Python, SQL and other programming or scripting software. 
• You have excellent communication skills and have first experience in presenting to senior stakeholders. 
• You are a strong collaborator and a team player. You are also able to also work individually if required.  
• You have fluent English skills (spoken and written).
