We are currently hiring two Compliance Officers for our Business & Regulatory Compliance team. Both positions will be based in our office in Frankfurt. The European Business & Regulatory Compliance team is part of the Global Legal & Compliance & Risk Department. The Team ensures that our business is in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulation. 

 

This is a great moment to join our team as we are expanding the function. The successful candidate will report directly to the European Head of Business & Regulatory Compliance.

 

What you will do

 

•    Manage compliance systems and tools in relation to monitoring employees' activities
•    Identify and manage compliance, regulatory and reputational risks for Allianz Global Investors’ business in Europe and globally
•    Implement regulatory requirements for Allianz Global Investors’ business in Europe to establish a robust risk and regulatory framework
•    Regularly assess procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks
•    Ensure the associated polices remain relevant and up to date and are communicated effectively
•    Management of projects on European and global level
•    Stakeholder management (internal and external, including regulators and industry bodies)
•    Liaise with auditors, internal and external (such as the WpHG audit)
•    Participate in various initiatives with colleagues in other locations, regional and global
•    Work collaboratively on various BAU (Business as Usual) control activities

 

What you bring

 

•    University Degree, preferably in law, economics or related subjects
•    Approximatively 3-8+ years` experience in regulatory compliance within the financial industry, preferably asset management 
•    Experience in handling Compliance software and tools
•    Excellent command of both spoken and written English and German is a must
•    Additional languages would be an advantage
•    Excellent knowledge of the European regulatory environment (for example AIFMD, UCITS and MiFID)
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound and balanced judgement
•    Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
•    Team player, willing to work within a team but independently when required
•    Able to build positive relationships with stakeholders
•    Committed to contributing to a strong Compliance culture within Allianz Global Investors and adhere to its values
