We are currently hiring a (Senior) IT Risk Manager (f/m/d) within Operational Risk who will help to shape the Operational Risk function of AllianzGI and encourage monitoring of operational risks. Together with the team, you will be responsible to implement AllianzGI's risk management framework for operational & business risks. You will be interacting with a large variety of partners across all levels of the company, providing impactful risk advice and forward-looking risk assessments.

We are looking for an experienced professional that will be a driving force to further innovate our operational risk oversight supported by data driven business intelligence, providing independent risk oversight and advice. This role is to be filled in Frankfurt or Munich.

What you will do:

• Advise business units on operational risks and control matters, predominantly related to Technology Risks
• Lead independent process and control assessments along the asset management value chain, based on thorough understanding of asset management processes, information technology and the ability to identify and mitigate operational risks
• Review operational risk events and supervise the implementation status of the action plans
• Implement operational risk controls (e.g KRIs) and perform related operational risk monitoring
• Drive the development of innovative ways to identify, monitor and visualize operational risks
• Work closely with a variety of business team member across multiple areas of AllianzGI and provide impactful risk advice and independent challenge

What you bring:

• At least approx.  5 – 7 years of relevant experience as a Risk Manager, Consultant, External Auditor or other similar role at an asset management or related services firm with profound knowledge and experience gained in risk and/or technology advisory
• Successfully completed Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Management, Information Technology or equivalent field of study
• Proven understanding of the asset management industry and experience in key areas of the process value chain (e.g., Middle-and Back-office, Technology), including basic understanding of underlying regulatory framework
• Demonstrable Project Management skills (e.g., PMP, Prince2) with proven experience are a plus
• Good knowledge and experience of IT-Frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL) is desirable
• Proficient in MS-Office (Word, Excel as well as PowerPoint)
• Excellent all-round interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) to support effective teamwork in an international, diverse, and highly interdisciplinary environment
• Must display outstanding attention to detail and accuracy and dedication to quality assured work
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Forward-thinking and results-oriented standout colleague with the ability to build positive relationships internally and externally, constructively challenge the status quo and to understand sophisticated topics and being able to transfer them into simplified messages
• Collaborative and works well within a team, but equally able to work on own initiative
• Strong interpersonal, client relationship, influencing and communication skills
• Good organizational skills, able to multi-task
• You are fluent in English; knowledge of German or other European languages would be an advantage
