The Data Privacy Expert provides advice on compliance with existing data privacy processes or policies as well as assist in developing any procedures for the privacy programs. He/She will be required to conduct assessments of data privacy impact and security risks within the organisation, and to implement and track the execution of risk-based analysis, privacy controls, and measures, including the regular monitoring of these controls within the organisation and its affiliates or local entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advisory services to Allianz entities, our customers, regarding compliance with data privacy regulations, Allianz privacy requirements, including the Allianz Privacy Standard (APS) and Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs)
  • Conduct risk assessments using a risk-based approach to identify data privacy and security risks for customers
  • Perform Privacy Impact Assessments and review or implement privacy controls and measures using Allianz‘s modern tools
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and implementation of data privacy governance management systems
  • Assist business colleagues in understanding and aligning their business needs with privacy requirements
  • Review and negotiate data processing agreements with suppliers or customers to ensure compliance with agreed technical and organizational (security) measures (TOMs)
  • Handle inquiries from data subjects and manage their rights, such as consent withdrawal and the right to be forgotten. Also, handle personal data incidents, data breach notifications, and necessary remedial actions
  • Help managers ensure compliance with Allianz‘s high standards of data protection by facilitating participation in Allianz Data Privacy Trainings, conducting Data Privacy awareness campaigns, and providing local training
  • When working with one of our Global Lines, liaise not only with the local function but also the headquarters, and adhere to their Internal Control System requirements

 

Desired Requirements/Skills/Expertise:

  • Bachelor‘s degree in law, IT or related disciplines is required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in roles related to data privacy, risk management, internal control, compliance or information security
  • Solid understanding and expertise in complex regulatory frameworks/requirements related to Data Protection (EU & APAC) and security systems (ISO 27701, ISO 27001, ISO 27002)
  • Good understanding of process and control design and re-engineering principles
  • Strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to quickly comprehend and process complex relationships in a manner suitable for the intended audience
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders (e.g., business, legal, IT, security…) about data protection and privacy matters
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and assertiveness skills
  • Proactive attitude and strong sense of responsibility
  • Demonstrate integrity, impartiality, responsibility, and commitment to maintain confidentiality
  • Relevant data privacy certifications such as CIPM, CIPP, CIPT, CPDSE or OneTrust Professional
  • Familiarity with the legal systems of France and/or the APAC region would be beneficial
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and French is essential, while German language proficiency is a desirable asset
