What you bring

Experienced, self-driven and motivated Accounting professional, who is able to independently manage all regular accounting and reporting activities, as well as be willing to contribute to ongoing and upcoming productivity initiatives, optimally leveraging your skills and experience. Be able to communicate effectively across different levels, be a team-player and collaborative in her/his working style.

 

  • Coordinate and ensure completion of regular closing tasks towards monthly and quarterly close    
  • Effect portfolio and reinsurance specific bookings. Align with external reinsurers and reconcile respective period end balances, including regular settlement of reinsurance balances                      
  • Assist with the performance of the external audit of annual financial statements, as well as any other ad-hoc audit that may be required by Allianz Group or other external stakeholders, and input towards external regulatory or statistical filings     
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts deck and reconcile with General Ledger and with ECCS. Present results relating to specific pillar to management             
  • Work with actuaries to complete prior year run off and change of loss reserves in General Ledger          
  • As part of the regular close, resolve Income Statement specific ECCS validation issues to ensure smooth and seamless reporting to Group      
  • Strive towards continuous process improvement and increase in efficiency for the domain you are responsible for             
  • Any other appropriate tasks as may be decided by Management towards successful completion of financial reporting                                       

 

What we need

  • Strong Accounting background with preferable experience in Insurance and in a complex, multi-national, matrix environment            
  • Experienced qualified accountant            
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the following tools: MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, SAP GRP            
  • Personal Effectiveness – highly motivated, proactive, customer centric, responsible and highly committed 
  • Very strong communication skills, needs to drive internal communication, give new direction and OE/BU priorities
  • Cross border cooperation, team players in the Group, cultural mindset
  • Qualified Accountant (eg . ACCA, CA, CPA etc)
