Portfolio Manager - Data & Insights
Key responsibilities
The Portfolio Manager – Data & Insights will be responsible for building and managing the capability of portfolio management tools across the organization. This includes implementing, configuring, and continuously optimizing tools like Jira, PowerBI, EasiBI, BigPicture, SharePoint, and Confluence to ensure they provide accurate, real-time insights into investment allocation and value delivery.
The role will also integrate Group tools like SAP and Wave to provide a comprehensive, data-driven view of the portfolio. This role is key to building the technical foundation that aligns portfolio execution with strategic goals and supports data-driven decision-making at all levels.
As a Portfolio Manager, you are in charge of the following responsibilities:
- Tool Implementation & Capability Building Take ownership of setting up, configuring, and optimizing portfolio management tools (Jira, PowerBI, EasiBI, BigPicture, SharePoint, Confluence, SAP, Wave). Ensure these tools are integrated and configured to enable seamless, data-driven governance.
- Data Integration & Real-Time Reporting Lead the integration of data from multiple systems, including Group tools like SAP and Wave, into the portfolio management tools, ensuring real-time, actionable insights that support decision-making and performance tracking.
- Dashboard & Reporting Development Build and continuously improve PowerBI dashboards and EasiBI reports that deliver real-time data on capacity, flow, investment spend, and portfolio performance. Enable the business to visualize progress towards strategic goals.
- Training & Enablement Design and deliver training programs, workshops, and create documentation to ensure teams are fully equipped to use portfolio tools effectively.
- Strategic Alignment & Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) Work closely with leadership to ensure portfolio initiatives are aligned with strategic goals. Utilize tools to track progress against OKRs, enabling data-driven discussions on portfolio performance and strategy execution.
- Capacity Planning & Resource Management Build and manage capacity planning models within BigPicture, integrating data from Jira and financial forecasts to align resources with portfolio demand and strategic priorities.
- Governance & Risk Management Establish data governance standards and processes across portfolio management tools to ensure data accuracy and transparency, while managing risks and dependencies within the portfolio.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting Lead monthly reporting to senior leadership, presenting actionable insights, highlighting risks, and providing recommendations to ensure that portfolio delivery meets business objectives and outcomes.
What you bring

5+ years of hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, and optimizing portfolio management tools like Jira, PowerBI, EasiBI, BigPicture, SharePoint, Confluence. Proven track record of building the technical capability to integrate and use these tools effectively across teams.

Experience integrating data from multiple systems, including Group tools like SAP and Wave, ensuring real-time, seamless reporting. Proficiency in automating data workflows to improve the accuracy and efficiency of insights.

Expertise in building and optimizing actionable PowerBI dashboards and EasiBI reports, ensuring stakeholders can access key portfolio metrics and progress towards strategic goals.

Proven ability to build internal capability by creating training programs and ensuring widespread adoption of portfolio management tools.

Strong experience in developing and maintaining capacity planning models that align resources with portfolio needs, and drive execution against strategic priorities.

Demonstrated ability to align portfolio initiatives with strategic goals, track OKRs, and ensure that tools provide the insights needed to monitor progress and adjust execution.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex data and tool configurations into actionable business insights.

Experience leading teams through the implementation and adoption of new tools and processes. Proven ability to drive organizational change and improve portfolio management capabilities.

A degree in Business, IT, or related fields. SAFe Lean Portfolio Management certification is a plus.

Strong communication and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior leaders and driving alignment between strategic goals and portfolio execution.
