Key responsibilities/What you do

The Operations Leakage Manager is placed within our Quality division in Operations and is directly reporting to the Central quality Lead. The role is responsible for identifying, investigating, and mitigating operational leakage. Leveraging data analytics and strong understanding of operational processes together with underwriting assumptions, this role is expected to control the application of the Leakage functional rule. The Operations Leakage Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and implement leakage strategy aimed at minimizing financial losses, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Primary objectives include to define guidelines and to collaborate with the local teams to roll them out, to build data analysis and related action plans, and to follow and monitor the actions and the impacts. The Operations Leakage manager will only take an important role to highlight required system enhancement to automate leakage control and ease the monitoring process.
The Operations Leakage Manager also has a pivotal role in leading the leakage community experts in order to share best practices and support the culture of leakage control within the organization.

  • Leakage Strategy: Drive the definition and the roll-out of the leakage strategy by implementing the culture of leakage control within the regions and proposing the necessary tools and processes. Define and embed the Leakage Strategy and the culture of leakage control across Allianz Partners by continually reviewing and proposing the necessary tools and processes
  • Leakage committee: implement and conduct necessary committee to update on the metrics, actions and next steps
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments of Allianz Partners to integrate leakage control into the organization.
  • Leakage standards: Roll-out and control the implementation of the Leakage functional rules. Establish and maintain high-quality standards and ensure they align with industry best practices and meet customer expectations. Maintain and monitor the Leakage Functional Rule, ensuring it aligns with industry best practices and meets customer expectations as well as Group Standards. Continuously review, communicate and promote the Functional Rule to ensure it is established across Allianz Partners
  • Best practices collection: Collect and understand the quality best practices from the regional, local teams internal stakeholders to gather insights, feedback, and intelligence on emerging risks and trends related to leakage. Stay aware of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in leakage control and monitoring, reduction of leakage and operational processes through data-driven analysis and feedback mechanisms.
  • Data driven analysis: Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential leakage points across different stages of the insurance lifecycle and support the local teams in term analysis
  • Leakage investigation: support teams in implementing and conducting OFR and CFR and participate actively in the investigations into important suspected cases of leakage to understand the root cause and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Audits / quality assurance: Participate to regular audits to assess adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement. Drive the planning, implementation and monitoring of quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with standards and regulations
  • Quality Metrics: Establish, maintain, and monitor KPIs and analyze trends to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Provide regular reports to the leadership of Allianz Partners
  • Process Development: Based on prioritization initiatives, coordinate required pilot(s) with the region and provide recommendations if needed (tools, process)
  • Risk Management: Identify and reduce potential Leakage risks by implementing measures to prevent defects and errors within the processes of Allianz Partners. Design and deploy automated controls, detection algorithms, and other technology solutions to proactively identify and mitigate risks
  • Training: Provide guidance and training to operational teams on leakage prevention techniques, best practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Documentation: Ensure proper documentation of leakage processes, procedures and outcomes to facilitate transparency and accountability throughout the organization.

Key requirements/What you bring

  • 10+ years experience in working with intercultural operations in insurance, assistance, or banking
  • Strong knowledge in leakage projects
  • Experience in executing large scale strategy with cross functions approach
  • Strong analytics and process efficiency focus
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to interact easily with senior management
  • Strong communication skills, team spirit and flexibility 
  • Ability to multitask and work remotely in an international environment.
