Senior Kubernetes Engineer

About the Job
You would be part of a global team providing Kubernetes shared cluster as a service to Allianz Technology internal Customers across the globe. This team is responsible for providing a reliable and secure service with incremental updates to our internal customers in a timely manner. All aspects related to the platform provided example, Availability, Disaster Recovery, Vulnerability management, Architecture & Documentation, Service Provisioning, and Incident Handling will be managed by the team.
What you do
- Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters in AWS cloud.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the infrastructure deployment process.
- Collaborate with development teams / customers to ensure applications are designed for scalability and reliability.
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for Kubernetes clusters and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes infrastructure and applications.
- Optimize resource utilization and ensure high availability and cost efficiency of services.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Kubernetes and DevOps.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and team members.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Several years of experience in DevOps and infrastructure management.
- Several years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production in AWS Cloud.
- Strong experience with AWS cloud.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Deep knowledge of containerization technologies.
- Deep Knowledge of networking, security, and storage concepts in a Kubernetes environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
