We are looking for developers into our ABS (Allianz Business Solutions) Teams, that is responsible for developing and maintaining the software that handles life-related insurances all around the world. This software is used by more thousand users all around the world on a daily basis.              

As a junior PL1 Developer you will participate in a training program in order to get the necessary knowledge to be able to develop, test and deploy batch programs in different development and runtime environments.

After successfully finishing the training program you will be onboarded to a project and work in an agile team, dealing with ABS.

You will

• Learn PL1 and JCL languages; Learn/Improve SQL knowledge
• Get to know the IBM mainframe environment: z/OS, TSO, ISPF and MVS
• Get to know the Linux MFES runtime environment: Spool and Catalog
• Learn the basic objects and processes of the ABS application suite and Learn the basics of Agile methodology, tools and processes
• Do the implementation of requirements in given technical design
• Software development in agile teams and input to methods of software engineering (Develop, maintain, optimize and service software or application components)

Your skills

• Fluent in written and spoken English & German (working language)
• Basic understanding of software development and Basic knowledge of at least one programming language
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills  and Ability to learn and use the learning quickly and effectively, willingness to improve in new fields
• Good communication skills and Be able to work in an efficient way and meet deadlines
• Proactive personality, Team player
• Minor readiness to travel (5-10%)
