Accounting Manager - Local Finance Department

Reporting to Head of Finance Allianz Services Romania

The Accounting Manager will work as part of the team of accountants and will oversee all accounting and tax reporting activities, IFRS and statutory, and together with the Head of Finance ensures that Allianz Services keeps continuous focus on compliance, control and risk management, and meet the requirements of governmental and other regulatory bodies, as well as the internal guidelines on financial activities.

 

What you will do

  • Oversee all accounting and tax reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance;
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes and deliver timely financial reports;
  • Ensure correctness of monthly trial balance for both IFRS and statutory purposes;
  • Compile/ verify statutory financial statements and tax returns to local authorities;
  • Maintain the connection with the tax consultant as well as relevant local tax authorities;
  • Manages the monthly/quarterly/annual deliveries in terms of Statutory Reporting, Group reporting, Tax reporting, Transfer Pricing, Statistical Reporting;
  • Keep up-to-date with relevant legislation and ensure that all relevant legislation is implemented;
  • Provide fiscal advice supporting business activities;
  • Ensure internal control procedures are in place and effectively implemented;
  • Oversee daily operations of the accounting team for accuracy and efficiency, work together with the team;
  • Lead the accounting team, currently responsible for GL accounting, AP, AR, Tax and employee reimbursement activities;
  • Contribute to process improvement and automation in the accounting department;

 

What you bring

  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience in ensuring accounting and tax compliance, preferably in a multinational environment;
  • Prior supervisory experience- accounting/finance;
  • University degree in accounting/business/finance/economics
  • Fluent English written and spoken
  • Strong knowledge of Romanian Accounting Standards and tax legislation; IFRS is an advantage;
  • ACCA/ CECCAR is an advantage;
  • Computer skills, MS Office - Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Accounting software proficiency (SAP is preferred), and data analytics tools
