Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of Global B2C, this role is responsible for developing and executing a fully integrated B2C business strategy to drive awareness, create online demand and drive customer acquisition in Australia for both the Travel and the Health LOB. You will lead a dynamic team whose mission is to grow the B2C business and drive meaningful business results by defining and executing customer acquisition efforts across direct-to-consumer channels, including both online and offline. This team is made up of members in charge of offering, user experience, marketing, digital services delivery and partnership with Allianz Australia
Key responsibilities include:
- Reporting to and working with the Head of Global B2C to translate the global B2C strategy into a highly effective customer experience and marketing strategy for Australia, covering acquisition, retention, website management & optimization, and CRM;
- Achieve the SGW and OP targets for B2C in Australia; and be accountable for achieving set KPI’s; customer acquisition, conversion, retention & engagement within budget for the local markets;
- Lead a cross-functional team to run all aspects of the B2C business, e.g. plan and define the company’s unique value proposition in the B2C channel, improve end-to-end B2C customer journey, lead customer acquisition & retention efforts, build and maintain a 360° view of the customer, management of B2C partnerships and contract negotiation
- Work in close partnership with other business leaders, underwriting and product, IT, and relevant teams across the organization including strategy, operations, marketing, organization management, legal, compliance, finance, sales
- Perform customer and distributor segmentation, valuation and needs identification
- Partner with Allianz Australia to optimize the Travel Insurance section of the Allianz Australia website
- Develop understanding of industry, consumer and competitor trends, tailoring products and services to current and existing needs
- Serve as a mentor by providing coaching, career development, and inter-departmental relationship management for the B2C team
- Participate in cross-functional strategic planning initiatives, supporting company objectives for growth, profitability, and customer experience
What you'd bring to this role:
- Senior leadership experience in ecommerce and digital marketing in a direct-to-consumer environment required.
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on & goal-oriented leader with proven track record in conceptualizing & building a successful B2C ecommerce business in either the travel or financial services industry
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Marketing or a related field
- Excellent interpersonal skills (communication, negotiation and mediation) and ability to develop strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong eCommerce business awareness – Fluency across sales/basket, media/performance, operations, and promotions data
- Excellent analytical & conceptual skills and a data-driven to design experiments, test hypotheses, and measure success, growth-hacking mindset
- Strong awareness in strategic planning and marketing execution for eCommerce website management operations and tactics for demand generation and acquisition
- Ability to lead complex projects, competing priorities, anticipate requirements and possible obstacles
