Project Portfolio Office is a CFO function responsible for global project portfolio management processes such as prioritization, approval, reporting & demand management. The department is responsible for maintaining standardized portfolio management methodology & supporting the business in its application.

 

 

What you do

 

  • Develop, embed, continuously improve and simplify Project Portfolio Management methodology and processes across the organization to ensure effective strategy execution - own the PPM framework, processes and governance end to end
  • Lead the global team of project portfolio managers and build a global network and community of local portfolio managers to support the growth of Allianz Technology -have the responsibility for the entire change portfolio
  • Manage the global project portfolio and be the global capability owner of the PPM capability
  • Engage with stakeholders across the organization to build and maintain appropriate governance for management of portfolios, projects and programs as well as monitor the overall progression of portfolios and facilitate decision-making on top management level
  • Create, communicate and cascade the strategy of the Project Portfolio Office, translating it into actionable plans
  • Drive the development of PPM relevant tools to achieve maximum possible simplicity and usability
  • Own the PPM reporting and enable steering throughout all project portfolio committees

 

 

What you bring

 

  • Exceptional problem solving and leadership across various business problems
  • Fluent in English & ideally German
  • 3+ years of experience in managing portfolios and/or projects.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing teams and proven leadership skills with ability to inspire, motivate and drive results across functions and geographies.
  • 10+ years of experience & accreditation in program or project management. Ideally, experience in implementing PPM processes.
