Position Cluster: 

Allianz Holding Eins is responsible for Central Europe (CE) focusing on strategic development, planning and leadership for financial services sectors within the region. The region covers 11 countries in total Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Poland, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine.

 

Job Purpose/Role

This role will support Planning and Strategic Dialogue preparation across all functions regionally, coordinate monthly closing process, steer performance of several large OEs in the region, including driving productivity and other business initiatives. Strong focus is on life and health performance measurement including valuation and Asset/Liability topics.

 

Future challenges: Support development and transition of local and regional Finance function toward one regional Finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support management in financial decision making: support regional CFO in developing regional finance function and improve OE performance, prepare financial analysis and conduct deep dives, coordinate the preparation of PDs and SDs.
  • Performance controlling for several OEs: Monitor and challenge performance of several large OEs in the region.
  • Prepare Financial decisions and Conduct financial reporting: prepare regular financial reports to regional management (e.g. CEO Call) and towards H2 (MCC: quarterly closing).
  • Expenses and productivity: Set productivity initiatives and monitor delivery.
  • L&H/Pension steering: Further develop the steering approach of the L&H business and Pension Funds considering actuarial valuation (VNB/CSM), capital management and ALM.

 

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • Relevant professional experience, preferably in a global organization
  • Life Actuary or strong mathematical/actuarial background.
  • Fluent in English. Business fluency in German and/or other languages in the CEE region is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills.
  • Good ability to work autonomously within pre-defined parameters.
  • Strong team player and ability to establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues from different backgrounds, functions and cultures.

 

For this position we offer a monthly gross salary of at least EUR 80.000 gross (full-time basis). Overpay is possible in case of and depending on appropriate experience, qualifications and commitment.
