As Audit Manager you will be the key function member under Solvency II (Fit and Proper criteria). You are also responsible for evaluating the design and operational effectiveness of the system of internal controls throughout the AGCS Group. You actively engages in overall leadership of Global Audit in alignment with the Global Head of Audit, developing the strategic direction of Internal Audit and responsible for the coordination and implementation thereof. You will develop a specialist IT audit team, enhances the Know of IT and data across the IA function. Be a trusted business advisor with an independent outside view, free minded and out-of-the-box thinker.




In this role you will….

  • Responsible for evaluating the design and operational effectiveness of the system of internal controls throughout the entire AGCS Group
  • Identifies key risk areas and topics specifically related to  IT and Data that need to be addressed. 
  • Contributes to and sponsors a sound governance system by providing advice and support and consulting activities. 
  • Drives innovative and effective risk identification and management strategies
  • Actively engages in overall leadership of Global Audit and in planning, controlling and directing of the department. Steers department´s data analytics activities and drives meaningful and efficient implementation, creating a competitive and sustainable advantage for the systematic analysis of the overall AGCS internal control framework. Continuously challenges Global Audit´s transformation to digital auditing. Communicates directly with Top and Senior Management related to IT and data management on internal control deficiencies and status of remediation. Briefs Global Head of Audit on issues of major concern
  • Manages audit teams as Engagement Manager and directs functional experts/team of audit professionals. Empowers team to execute tasks independently and delegate assignments. Defines clear and challenging targets related to IT data topics, monitors progress, addresses performance issues appropriately and effectively. Provides guidance on overall strategic picture. Plans and implement technical training and support skill building of auditors                                      
  • Oversees and coordinates the annual review and update of the audit universe
  • Oversees and facilitates effective remediation activities for key risk exposures and audit findings
  • Ensure compliance with Group, Internal Audit and IIA standards and processes
  • Be an accepted advisor and key contact to AGCS management on global level, combining profound business acumen, IT and Data expertise with customer and strategic focus. Communicates audit activities to internal and external stakeholders                                            


  • At least 7 up to 10 year’s experience in internal, external audit, consultancy, project management, or equivalent
  • Several years of experience in insurance, fin. services industry and / or in Finance, IT, Risk Management/Actuarial
  • Business know how within an AGCS OE (is a plus but not a prerequisite)
  • Good understanding of IT, Systems and Data analytics
  • University degree and master’s in economics, business administration or equivalent
  • Audit related certification (CIA, CFA, CISA or a country specific certification)
  • Project Management experience: from individual task management to ability to manage large complex projects 
  • Strong intellectual and analytical skills and a very good understanding of processes, structures, and the regulatory environment
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, as well as the talent to empathize for the auditee’s perspective and ability to listen
  • Team spirit, self-motivation, as well as ability to interact in a global work environment with people from different countries and cultures
  • Proven command of the English language (verbal and written) and fluency in at least one additional language is mandatory
