Responsibilities

 

In this role you will…

 

•    Review and interpretation of underwriting materials
•    Develop effective working relationships with various departments, including Global Client Services (GCS), Accounting and the Reinsurance Department, with the following content: 
•    Ensure efficient execution of all administrative processes within GBO (new business, renewals and in-year changes).
•    Handle structured multinational and domestic clients within the agreed framework and defined processes.
•    Review hand over material from underwriting (UW) and/or sister unit GCS for completeness of required information and if necessary, escalate to UW and/or GCS.
•    Proactive communication with all relevant departments.
•    Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives within own business unit.
•    Coordination of premium outstanding and relevant reconciliation activities - in close cooperation with the accounting teams.
•    Ongoing monitoring, maintenance, and follow-up of all processes in the respective responsibility and escalation, if required.
•    Authorisation within assigned limits use of relevant information to populate IT systems accurately and efficiently with new and renewed contracts
•    The production of regular reports, client invoices and all relevant documentation, e.g. policies, certificates, endorsements for the broker (or client)/co-insurer 

 

To be successful in the role:

 

You will have….

 

•    Currently doing a Bachelor or master’s degree (enrolment at university is a requirement for the whole duration of the employment), preferably in Communications Science, Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration or other relevant fields 
•    Good Communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a professional, international working environment and often virtual environment
•    Very good knowledge of MS Office tools (especially MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
•    You are data-oriented and innovative and able to introduce new digital working methods 
•    Experience with front office systems in the insurance sector is desirable 
•    Ideally you have an understanding of insurance products, their wordings, terms and conditions and the policy administration lifecycle
•    High degree of accuracy, reliability, initiative, and independent working style
•    High self-motivation and active team player with good sense of humour
•    Fluent in German and English 


Ideally you will also have…

 

•    Start: as soon as possible, duration min. 6 months, extension possible
•    Internship: Max. 38 hours/week 
•    Enrolment at the university/college is a prerequisite for the duration of employment.
