Responsibilities:

 

In this role you will…

 

•    As a lead designer for the Data Warehouse,  you are responsible for  the  design of the application and processes of  the data warehouse system, its interfaces and infrastructure. You participate to the analysis of the business requirements and processes with business owners, business and data analysts. You assess the technical complexity of the requirement and contribute to the definition of the non-functional requirements. You coordinate with other areas of the IT department or other delivery channels to design functional models for an integrated landscape.
•    You provide technical expertise to the development teams  in the definition of  E2E and/or complex solutions (performance, modelling, interfaces) in development as well as in production support.  You ensure that technical solutions defined by the development teams are following the design and development standards or guidelines.
•    As a member of a delivery team, you contribute to the development  and support of the application, in your area. You closely work with the platform specialists  to ensure interoperability, availability and  performance of all environment stacks of the application; support the  DevOps Engineers in the establishment of  continuous integration and deployment of the product, testing and environment strategy.
•    Guided by the Enterprise Architecture department, and in collaboration with the System owners you plan the implementation of Group initiatives, standards, policies and evolve the services provided, you conduct analysis on the compliance to IT policies/standards, follow up and apply in cases where necessary, report to IT management on results.  You contribute to  the definition of the architecture roadmap and the system vision, and follow up on its implementation.
•    Own the architecture runway in your area on behalf of the System Architect, encourage the innovation culture and  technical excellence  within the technical solution community, own the  design guidelines, establish and enhance procedures around quality in the data warehousing area.

 

To be successful in the role:

 

You will have….

 

•    Bachelor Degree in IT , Mathematics or Engineering, Certification for Agile, SAFE5.0
•    Expert knowledge in in programming, design and support of large data warehousing solutions,  performance tuning, data modelling ideally in , in native SAP Hana XSA (SQL, Calculation view, Node.js), design and optimization of reports in SAP Analytics Cloud or similar (dashboard, stories)
•    Analytical and conceptual skills, pro-active and independent working style
•    Interpersonal and communication skills including moderation of technical workshops

 

Ideally you will also have…

 

•    Knowledge in programming of application on top of a DV business vault 
•    Proven success in building long-term relationships, ability to understand the business context, ideally in insurance or finance industry
•    Strategic thinking skills
•    Strong communication skills, in English, German is an advantage
