Job Purpose/Role 


Are you interested in joining our adventure by becoming our new Global Head of Professional Indemnity (PI) in Financial Lines?
Reporting directly to the Global Financial Lines Head, you will drive the PI strategy globally.


Key responsibilities


In this role you will…


•    Oversee the P&L of the Global PI Portfolio ensuring profitability is maintained over the cycle.
•    Have ownership respective planning, budgeting and monitoring in close coordination with Regional LoB Heads and CUO Global Business Analysis, (i.e. Portfolio Steering & Pricing)
•    Identify and monitor PC specific claims, developments and trends, market claims & potentials in close coordination with Regional LoB Head 
•    Provide acquisition support (including direct client, broker negotiations, PC specific presentations at broker events)
•    Support the PC specific corporate underwriting: business appetite definition, authority proposal, implementation of UW framework, ensure adherence to UW framework in close cooperation with CUO Global Business Analysis (i.e. Global Process Coordination)
•    Drive and facilitate PC specific internal and external communication in close cooperation with all relevant parties
•    Facilitate regional exchange between the Regions with regards to the respective PC as well as build, facilitate and multiply PC specific knowledge within all Regions
•    Make suggestions with regards to PC specific pricing, tools, processes and organizational matters
•    Drive product development/product enhancements for PC including cross LoB products
•    Ensure a successful global product roll-out for PC
•    Continuously focus on enhancing pricing tools (with Pricing team), portfolio steering (with portfolio team) and always ensuring Technical Excellence is at the heart of the line of business.
•    Focus on AGCS being a thought leader in PI


To be successful in this role:


You will have…


•    A Preferably Degree in Business Administration, Engineer, Economics, or comparable discipline as well as completion of professional insurance qualification (e.g. CII)
•    Experience in underwriting of international PI business ideally having led a regional or global portfolio
•    Experience in the UK or US Professional Liability market
•    Proven portfolio management skills
•    The ability draft contract and interpretation: design, develop and implement consistent, robust wordings
•    Demonstrable success in analysing current performance against various benchmarks with a view to ensure adequate progress and satisfactory performance
•    The ability to develop, implement and communicate strategies to address important trends or changes in the business
•    The ability to negotiate best position for AGCS and client, often in contentious situations, managing conflicting priorities of various parties
•    Proven success in leading a team within a matrix organization as well as experience in working internationally with strong ability for cross border adaption
•    Fluent English skills with additional languages a plus
