Job Purpose/Role
At AGCS our Compliance Department manages the Compliance Management System and Compliance Programmes globally, staying abreast of external and internal developments to identify and minimize compliance risks, whilst protecting the interests of the Company.


Reporting to the Global Compliance Officer, as part of the Compliance Governance team,  you will steer and drive the design, implementation and maintenance of Compliance Reviews within AGCS globally in line with AGCS Compliance Programmes and Group requirements. You will also manage and conduct the Global Compliance Risk Assessments, working closely with the regions, Global Topic Owners, the Risk Function and Risk Owners. In addition you will steer a Compliance topic globally overseeing developments and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities


In this role you will:
•    Design, set up and run the Compliance Reviews for AGCS globally ensuring transparency on the implementation status of Compliance Programs and recommending measures to improve effectiveness
•    Closely collaborate with Legal and Compliance  counterparts to prepare and conduct Compliance Reviews in entities under management of AGCS globally
•    Ensure that Compliance Reviews related enquiries are handled appropriately, support the business in understanding Compliance program related requirements (e.g. processes, controls) and oversee the timely conclusion of action items
•    Manage the Global Compliance Risk Assessments process in AGCS , closely collaborating with Global Topic Owners, the Risk Function and Risk Owners 
•    Ensure the Global Compliance Risk Assessments (“GCRA”)  address new and developing issues, with up to date content, and  timely follow-up with respective stakeholders (e.g. global functions)
•    Prepare and maintain reporting on Compliance Reviews and GCRA  results and developments, e.g. to Allianz Group,  AGCS Board, RiCo
•    Liaison for AGCS on matters concerning GCRA, Compliance Reviews, Reporting tool and Compliance Investigations.
•    Ensure Compliance related audit (external/internal) and risk assessment findings/issues and requests are handled and mitigated appropriately, setting up an organizational approach to enable follow-ups as well as fast and correct responses
•    Act as main coordinating contact for Compliance audit related and regulatory requests into the organization
•    Global Topic Owner for assigned Compliance topic(s)    

Key Requirements

•    Bachelor degree or Master’s degree in a relevant field
•    At least 5-7 years proven Compliance, Audit and/or Risk background, in the insurance industry (any legal experience or training is a benefit)
•    You have a good understanding of internal controls system, processes and methodology and demonstrate thought leadership    
•    You have worked in a matrix environment supporting multiple locations
•    You are able to take initiative and resolve problems with a high degree of autonomy
•    Sound inter-personal and people management skills
•    You express your ideas and messages clearly and with confidence
•    You are able to steer and manage topics/initiatives with a cross functional view
•    You are fluent in English
