Job Purpose/Role

We’re looking for a Senior Actuarial Expert (m/f/d) at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) in Munich or Hamburg.


At AGCS, we have a hybrid working model, which recognizes the value in a balance between remote and office based working, giving you the flexibility to organize the way you work.


Working as part of an agile project team, you will drive the design and testing of actuarial functionalities in the AGCS systems. You will be contributing to the automation of process required for the company to meet the IFRS17 requirements in terms of timelines and quality when closing its books.


Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will…


  • Analyse requirements to implement new or improve existing tools and processes
  • Collaborate with the developers within the project team to ensure the implementation of the aforementioned tools works seamlessly
  • Develop test cases and use them to validate the implementation of the tools is correct   
  • Collaborate with the internal customers of the project to ensure their requirements are met by aligning design decisions and updating on the progress


Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • Excellent tertiary qualification (ideally Master), preferably in Mathematics, Statistics or other appropriate discipline or qualified by experience in related discipline                               
  • Progress towards recognised professional qualification (first Actuarial exams passed) where applicable
  • About 7 years of professional experience, preferable spanning multiple actuarial areas
  • Several years of experience contributing to development/enhancement and implementation of models/analysis and processes
  • Excellent actuarial expertise in P&C                         
  • 1 to 3 years of experience with IFRS17                                   
  • Proven experience in communication of results to stakeholders
  • Advanced expertise in Accounting                           
  • Know-how and credibility in IT                   
  • Excellent ability to ensure data correctness, quality and integrity
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local, GAAP, IFRS, Regulatory and other relevant requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good project management skills              
  • Strong communication skills in spoken and written                          
  • SAFe certification would be a plus
  • Fluent English is required.
