Department Description & Job Purpose

The intern position offers a unique opportunity for passionate individuals seeking to embark on a career in IT consulting. By joining the Technology & Innovation pillar of Allianz Consulting, aspiring IT professionals will have the chance to work alongside seasoned consultants, gaining hands-on experience in addressing a diverse range of projects: from one of the industry’s largest IT infrastructure projects that includes data centers, networking and security, to application platforms that span from workplace services to digital interaction. This opportunity is based in the city of Munich, Germany, providing an enriching environment for professional growth and development in the field of IT consulting.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Support the team on internal and/or client projects with a focus on IT transformation, digital innovation, and IT program & project management 
  • Work on assignments under the guidance of an Engagement Manager or team member, being mindful of deadlines and deliverables, troubleshooting problems, and all other relevant aspects of the assignments 
  • Assist the team in the ideation process within areas needing concrete measures for implementation and improvements
  • Contribute to internal initiatives within Allianz Consulting, including knowledge sharing, and team events organization

 

Key requirements

  • Enrollment in a German University in a relevant discipline (e.g., business, economics, computer science, engineering, or equivalent), or (for an internship) in a gap year
  • Your excellent command of English and high proficiency in German (C1)
  • An affinity for solving problems and a pronounced capacity for analytical thinking
  • Your desire to make a difference and your willingness to be coached
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and team members
  • Your previously acquired skills in PowerPoint and Excel (can perform complex functions)
  • Your cuosity for or knowledge of insurance and financial services and project or change management tools and techniques
  • Previous experience in IT transformation & project management methodologies and best practices are desired
  • You can start in august/september and are interested in an internship for 4 to  6 months in full-time (38h/week)
