The Cyber Insurance Advisory Team supports all Allianz OEs that offer cyber insurance with consulting services in highly specialized areas as part of the Protection & Resilience (P&R) Advisory function.

 

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Cyber Insurance Expert (m/f/d) to join our P&R Cyber Insurance Advisory Team and support us on a broad range of cyber insurance projects and services of different scope and complexity, meant to help us advise underwriters, claims handlers, and brokers. Key responsibilities / You will get to:

  • Act as a trusted advisor for Allianz underwriters, claims handlers, and brokers in the area of cyber insurance
  • Analyze clients’ needs and support in identifying, evaluating, prioritizing, mitigating, and monitoring critical IT security risks that could affect Business and IT Service continuity
  • Conduct advanced research and analyze complex data to present technical results and make recommendations
  • Interact with all levels of the client’s organization to increase awareness and preparedness in terms of cyber risk issues
  • Work closely with our cyber crisis management team members to provide proper preparatory support for our client’s customers around crisis management, business continuity and IT service management 
  • Facilitate trainings and workshops to help clients respond with confidence to any disruptive scenario and build consistent and scalable processes and procedures to increase business resilience 

 

Key requirements / What we hope you bring: 

  • At least a master's degree in a relevant discipline, such as Security, Information Security, Business Information Systems or similar
  • Demonstrable proficiency in both written and spoken German and English comparable to CEFR level C1 or higher (given our diverse and international projects, additional languages are always a plus)
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in at least three of the following areas: Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, Information Security Management, Security Risk Management, or Data Protection.
  • A proven track record in two or more of the following areas: Cyber Underwriting for corporate clients, IT Security Consulting, IT Security Audit, or line management in Cyber Security (including BCM/IT-SCM)
  • Advanced knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework for the Cyber insurance market, ideally globally, as well as knowledge of product design including integration of pre- and post-breach Services
  • Willingness to travel extensively nationally and internationally to fulfill the needs of the projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills that will help our messages reach a diverse and wide audience
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in communication and presentation tools, namely MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio; MS Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate, and Power BI is desirable
  • Demonstrable ability to condense complex information and data in a concise and compelling way to a for management and decision-makers
  • Demonstrable ability to obtain and maintain a German security clearance if required

 

Desired requirements /skills /experience:

  • Prior consulting experience
  • Insurance business experience or knowledge 
  • International work experience
  • Knowledge of international and national standards applicable to the cyber security and business continuity management, e.g., BSI-100/200, BS 11200, EU-GDPR
