The role

The primary purpose of this role is to support the General Manager Underwritten and Distribution across a range of key operational and strategic initiatives in line with the Underwritten Workers’ Compensation and Distribution business plan and strategy.

You'll be responsible for

  • Driving the strategic understanding of regulatory profiles, direction and environment and the provision of strategic input to the General Manager Underwritten and Distribution (General Manager) and senior leadership team
  • Working closely with the senior leadership team and Personal Assistant on all matters relating to the running of the business, coordinating, and providing necessary support
  • Supporting the General Manager with the preparation of Board papers, key reports, presentations, communications, and briefing notes for meetings
  • Contributing to the development of the Underwritten Workers Compensation and Distribution strategy and business plan by working closely with the General Manager and senior leadership team

 

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/ or industry accreditations
  • Detailed understanding of business operations in a complex, matrixed general insurance organisation
  • Proven ability to influence without authority
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written communication skills in both long form and in presentations
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions
  • Executive presence and confidence in dealing with senior leaders across the organisation
