What you do:

This role is accountable for analyzing and developing database designs, logical data models and data stores in support of business requirements, focusing on delivering additional analytical and operational capabilities. Works with stakeholders to identify business needs then identifies data sources, designs information flows, and designs transformations to move data into data stores.  Provide data in a ready-to-use form for data analysts and other stakeholders, who run queries and algorithms against the transformed information to garner additional insight.  Finally, assist with report development to insure efficient and accurate results.


  • Advise on, design, and implement solutions that prepare data for additional analytical or operational uses, specifically solutions utilizing data warehouses and marts
  • Provide data in a ready-to-use form to data analysts who are looking to run queries and algorithms against the information to garner additional insight
  • Designs, develops, and implements architectures and processes to populate and store data for use by data analysts and integrations with other operations
  • Works closely with data analysts to coordinate the use of end-user tools to facilitate the analysis and reporting process
  • Coordinates and communicates with stakeholders on requirements, testing, validation, and implementation of databases and reporting processes.
  • Recommend appropriate methodologies for extracting, integrating, and reporting on data contained within the reporting structures
  • Assist with report development to insure efficient and accurate results.
  • Develop complex reporting methods utilizing PowerBI and/or other tools
  • Designs, documents, codes, and conducts unit test, and de-bugging of solutions and components
  • Build data pipelines to combine information from different source systems; integrating, consolidating, and cleansing data; and structuring it for use in individual analytics applications and other operational uses
  • Assess and communicate status


What you bring:

  • 8+ years of experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field, specialized training or equivalent work experience
  • Database design experience with emphasis on data warehouse and data marts
  • Experience in developing processes to support population of reporting databases and reporting infrastructure, including data warehouses and marts
  • Understanding and experience using extract, transform and load (ETL) tools or techniques
  • Understanding of data storage and processing architectures which includes, at minimum, data warehouses
  • Ability to work with both structured and unstructured data sets
  • Exposure to data ingestion and processing frameworks
  • Experience in building data solutions to combine information from different source systems; integrating, consolidating and cleansing data; and structuring it for use in individual analytics applications and other operational uses
  • Expertise in SQL and experience in its use for developing data warehouses and marts, including extraction, load, and validation techniques
  • Expertise in PowerBI, including visualization techniques, aggregation and drill down techniques, DAX or other complex extraction, aggregation, and calculation methods
  • Robust communication skills
