Job Purpose

The Head of People Center of Excellence (CoE) spearheads talent innovation, dynamic learning programs, cultural transformation, and leadership development in Allianz Asia across 14 entities in 9 markets. And will play a key role in drumming up employee excitement and positioning Allianz as the employer of choice across Asia.

You will be instrumental in driving the Allianz business strategy forward by aligning with and championing the regional People & Culture strategy, through pioneering innovative solutions while ensuring alignment with the standards set by the Allianz Group People COE and the Allianz Asia Board of Management, ultimately shaping the future of our workforce and fostering a culture of excellence.

You will also be tasked with the responsibility of strategic workforce planning, ensuring that both the company and its employees are well-prepared to meet future demands in alignment with the group’s overarching approach. This involves anticipating and addressing emerging trends, skills, and roles required to maintain a competitive edge. By spearheading innovative talent solutions, you will need to introduce and implement unique strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent.

You will lead a team of two Senior Managers – one focused on Learning and Talent Development, and the other on Strategic Workforce Planning and Employee Engagement – as well as one Talent Attraction Manager. Additionally, you will lead the People COE community across the region.

 

What you do
Strategy and Delivery

  • Partner with key stakeholders to propel the People COE strategy, emphasizing cultural transformation, leadership development, while managing multiple COE initiatives across the region
  • Design and implement innovative talent programs to attract and retain top talent for Allianz in Asia, driving regional initiatives based on strategic workforce planning and future needs
  • Utilize and embed analytics and regional data to identify business challenges and enhance People strategies
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, mentor, and coach to business leaders, providing technical expertise within the People COE
  • Ensure the seamless regional execution of group-wide initiatives, adhering to functional rules, processes, tools, and content
  • Champion key cultural initiatives and foster positive employee experiences to build a thriving, engaged workforce

 

People

  • Ensure all direct reports have business-aligned performance objectives and targets, execute their jobs in an way that creates impact for business, and support them in their development plans
  • Manage functional experts in the region, contributing to target setting, guiding performance, and providing development opportunities

 

Operational

  • Govern the consistent implementation of functional rules and global processes
  • Execute Talent Management activities, such as driving the Group Career Development process, running Allianz Senior Executive (ASE) development centers, steering Talent Councils, coordinating talent nominations, and delivering onboarding and capability-building
  • Lead the delivery of the global learning curriculum in the region and drive and develop regional learning programs
  • Ensure implementation of the key People KPI in the local entities and Allianz Asia Pacific (AZAP)
  • Advise local Inclusion and Employee Experience experts to implement group strategy and processes
  • Actively position Employer Branding and Employer Value Proposition (EVP)


What you bring

Knowledge

  • Good understanding of regional and local People CoE market trends and broad knowledge of HR best practices in the region
  • Comprehensive experience in leading People CoE topics, with a focus on cultural transformation and leadership capabilities
  • Good understanding of the full learning cycle and its application within learning and development solutions
  • Good understanding of global Well-being, Inclusion, Diversity & Engagement programs, policies, processes, and operations
  • Good understanding of key People CoE KPIs and strategies to achieve them
  • Awareness of labour & employment laws about recruitment policies in Singapore

 

Skills

  • Ability to act as an interface between global/regional/local interests and needs
  • Leadership orientation with a strong focus on empowering high-achieving teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & ability to work with different stakeholders in a matrix environment
  • Strong analytical thinking, execution, and problem-solving skills to drive change in a challenging environment
  • Business awareness & customer orientation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, additional languages – especially those spoken in the Asian region is preferred

 

Qualification / Experience / Education

  • 10+ years of work experience in talent, recruiting, and HR
  • Experience working cross-geographies, especially in Asia, and with global teams
  • Proven track record executing activities in the four People CoE pillars
