Job Purpose / Role:

 

  • This role is open for secondment from regional operating entities or other Allianz entities or external hire . A 6-month period starting Oct/ Noc 2022 is ideal.
  • This role ensures that Allianz SE Singapore Branch's strategic priorities on the Life product side are being followed through, in particular: 1) Protection focus, 2) Margin improvement and 3) Country-specific improvements in selected individual markets.
  • This role will manage the Product Management Committee(PMC) and suport Product Approval Committee (PAC) processes on behalf of the Allianz's Life Product team and ensure the product proposals from regional OEs match our strategic objectives.
  • Exposure to all Allianz's Life and Health Operating entities, deep insights into their different strategies, and active involvement in the resolution of current issues are among the exciting challenges of this role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Management of the  PMC and support PAC processes on behalf of the Life Product team. Central point of contact for the PMC process, evaluation of product ideas and recommendation to the Head of Life Product.
  • Product portfolio monitoring to ensure that volume targets, margins and quality of product shelf are achieved.
  • Managing Quarterly product calls with individual OEs, including the determination of key issues that require resolution. Active follow-up on the implementation of these issues in close coordination withg all relevant functions, including actuarial, distribuition etc on regional, local and potentially global level.
  • Coordinate with group centre and OEs on ACM/APL for assessment or rollout. 5) other ad hoc tasks that may be required.

 

Key Requirements:

 

  • Deep understanding of life and health insurance products.
  • 8+ years experience in insurance/ reinsurance companies, some experience in product development, ideally with a technical background (actuarial/risk)
  • Experience in engaging, building relationships and managing difficult conversations for business problem solving with internal C-suite executives.
  • Deep understanding of levers of profitability, technical excellence and balance between commercial sense, risk, simplification, technology and consumer needs.
  • Very good communication skills in English.
  • Hands-on attitude and initiative are crucial.
  • Experience in the AZAP PMC/PAC process
