Job Purpose:

Regional Risk Management / Topic Expert and Country Coverage Officer for Regional Risk Management:
As a Regional Risk Manager, the role focuses on the risk coverage of several entities within the Allianz SE Asia-Pacific universe as well as on regional topic leadership within the risk team. The regional risk team provides holistic risk oversight over all entities in the region, performing the essential interface between local risk management functions and the central group risk function. Within the topic leadership, the regional risk team ensures the adoption and roll-out of relevant group management principles throughout the region.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Economic Capital Modelling: Drive development and maintenance of regional economic capital model; serve as key counterpart to Group risk capital modelling team and actively monitor developments in Solvency II capital regime
2. Regional Limit Management Framework: Develop and maintain regional risk limit management framework (credit, market, FX, liquidity & underwriting risks)
3. Regional Expert for Credit & Market Risk: Develop and maintain jointly with AIM Singapore credit rating and mapping systems and indicators to support AIM’s financial frame for AZAP; maintain interface with Group Risk on all market and credit risk topics 
4. Country Coverage: Act as an holistic country risk manager for assigned entities; support, develop and steer the local risk function as act as the key counterpart for the local Chief Risk Officer


Key Requirements:

• Relevant university degree and professional qualifications (e.g. FRM, PRM, CFA, Actuarial)
• 7+ years working experience in Life and/or General Insurance business or other relevant financial service companies
• Fluent in English, additional Asian languages desired. 
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong team player with very good interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Independent working; business-minded, pragmatic and result-orientated can-do attitude; strong analytical, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to deliver high-quality results on time while working under time pressure; flexibility in task management in order to adapt to changing priorities and delegating these effectively

• Minimum 5 years working experience in risk management of financial institutions •    Driven, positive “can do” attitude.
• Very strong stakeholder management ability.
• Possesses a good understanding of insurance products, financials (including embedded value), operations, distribution, ALM – basically the entire operation of a Life company.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
• Strong project management skill & previous experience.
