We are currently seeking a dynamic, agile, and analytical professional to join our Fund Expense Oversight Team in Luxembourg as part of Fund & Distribution Operations in Europe.
The team oversees Allianz Global Investors’ outsourced fund accounting, custody, and depository services with a focus on the various fees charged to the UCITS funds. It is also the Operations COE for performance fees (Retail and Institutional) and responsible for internal budgets.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible to support the team being on the forefront of AllianzGI’s digitalization and supporting the competence center for digitalization and automatization in the Fund Admin Support department, using a wide range of tools from sophisticated Excel functionalities, over MS SQL databases to the latest low code environments with Power BI, Power Automate and Power Apps
- You will be performing the regular periodic outsourcing controls (e.g., daily data checks, monthly and quarterly fee checks) as well as oversight for e.g., performance related expense types
- It will be your responsibility to improve (and set up new) risk-based oversight controls
- You will be responsible to prepare fund expense budgets where applicable and according to fund prospectuses and internal guidelines
- You will be responsible for the planning, reporting, and forecasting of internal budget components
- It will be your responsibility to ensure the operationalization of the fund business day definition is in line with the fund’s prospectuses and legal documentation (maintenance of fund Holiday Calendar)
- You will support the automatization and digitalization of existing and new processes (incl. Business Managed Applications developed and maintained by the team)
- The role furthermore includes the opportunity to support cross border projects. You will be part of an expert team, liaising (and if needed travelling to liaise) with colleagues across Europe
Qualification and Skills:
- Combination of a profound knowledge of the administrative side of the fund industry, especially the fund accounting and depository side, with a stable understanding of the related processes / value chain, as well as basic IT processes
- Deep knowledge of the UCITS fund business as well as processes in the asset management industry and related to existing fee structures
- Motivation to continuously improve the existing oversight framework
- Strong interpersonal skills and the talent to build positive relationships, internally and externally, in an international business environment
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and handle tasks and deadlines in combination with respective team member management
- High level of accuracy and keen attention to detail
- High motivation to take initiative and develop targeted solutions through creative thinking
- University degree with specialization on Business Administration
- Excellent MS Office skills, in particular Excel
- Office 365 experience including SharePoint and MS Teams
- Skills in VBA or T-SQL are an advantage
- Fluency in both written and spoken English, knowledge of German or French highly welcome
