We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Working Student to assist the Strategic Planning and Controlling Manager at Allianz Partners. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in global financial planning, controlling, and business performance analysis. The Working Student will support key functions in monitoring, reporting, and ensuring alignment with Allianz Group's financial targets. What you do
Support in Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Contribute to the preparation of documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including Allianz Group's H2 and H5 divisions.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and deep dives into business performance as requested by senior management
Assist with Strategic Planning and Controlling Processes:
- Help in translating strategic objectives into financial targets and contribute to the Top Down Indicators (TDI) setting.
- Assist with the planning process, including balance sheet planning and equity projections.
- Participate in monitoring the company’s alignment with group-wide financial targets.
Data and Process Management:
- Support in ensuring data quality and availability for financial reporting, leveraging technical solutions and automated tools.
- Assist in the coordination of outsourced activities and ensure efficient collaboration between internal and external teams.
Collaboration and Communication: Internal:
- Aid in facilitating communication between various teams such as Accounting, Risk Management, and Human Resources, to ensure smooth execution of deliverables.
- Participate in regular meetings and interactions with senior management, gaining insight into decision-making processes.
Project Support:
- Assist in various cross-functional projects, providing financial insights and support
- Help manage budget steering and contribute to cost-efficiency initiatives within the Strategic Planning and Controlling function
What you bring
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with financial reporting tools is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills in English; German / French is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
