The role

Proactive management of own risk portfolio in the Benelux, with a focus on the Netherlands, to collect financial information, write comprehensive and high quality surety credit reports and underwriting recommendations. 
Contribute to the achievement of profitable and sustainable growth of Allianz Trade Benelux Surety & Guarantee strategy through development and implementation of a proper Surety & Guarantee risk strategy, and a strong focus on customer centricity, through qualitative and quantitative analysis of Surety risks including segregation of underwriting duties. He or she is reporting to the Surety Risk Director Allianz Trade Benelux

What you do

• Organize and execute frequent renewals of selected customers (SME and Large Corporates) according to agreed planning (renewal calendar)
• Underwriting of new clients (Large Corporates), production of credit proposals 
• Visit customers/ attends meetings when required
• Provide timely, accurate, concise and structured reporting to the Director Surety & Guarantee and the Risk Director Surety & Guarantee
• Show (client) ownership, vision, sense of urgency and focus 

What you bring

• Experienced risk management professional in the financial services industry 
• Minimum 4-5 years experience in relevant roles in risk analysis and underwriting
• Proven track record of successful experience in risk management and underwriting in a banking or insurance environment
• Strong risk analysis skills and experience in writing high standard credit proposals
• Comprehensive knowledge of practices and principals of risk management, ability to translate these into the required processes and concrete actions
• Experience in underwriting complex transactions with Large, multinational, Corporations in various market segments
• Needs to have a strong vision and focus on market developments and translate/ implement this into risk/ portfolio management strategy and daily execution
• Strong communication skills, takes (client) ownership
• Possesses sound judgment and has a unique ability to solve problems, has the courage to make difficult decisions
• Quick thinker, able to translate complex information in clear and efficient reports
• High energy level, thinks and act quickly, hands on mentality
• Pro active team player

• Ability to communicate and negotiate at board level
• Fluent in Dutch and English (speaking and writing), basic knowledge of French would be preferred
 

The location is flexible between Amsterdam and 's-Hertogenbosch
