As Regional Learning and Development Specialist, North America, you will be involved in the development and governance of global L&D solutions, processes and standards. You will also be responsible for implementing the Allianz lifelong learning strategy, and managing the delivery of learning and development solutions to support Allianz Partners employees for the region and function you support. You will analyze, report, recommend and align the solutions with business needs while partnering with HR Business Partners and business leaders.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

 

  • Lead in the design and steering of global initiatives; leveraging existing resources and stakeholders to align with the business, HR strategy and AllianzU (Allianz University) priorities
  • Deliver and implement learning & development initiatives at the regional hub level in collaboration with subject matter experts on legislative and other learning requirements, across the countries in your market
  • Oversee the process of identifying learning needs within the respective Business Units in your region and match business needs and targets with learning & development solutions
  • Partner with the global L&D team on the design and development of the required local and/regional learning & development solutions to leverage the offering to all employees across Allianz Partners.
  • Lead strategic workforce planning upskilling strategy and roll-out of the plan for assigned function/LOB globally, with key stakeholders
  • Proactively engage with regional & functional partners along with HRBPs to support & drive local, regional and/or global learning & development initiatives, including strategic planning, forecasting, and end-to-end program management
  • Facilitate learning programs and build train-the-trainer capabilities of various stakeholders
  • Ensure that we deliver a great and unique employee & learning experience through innovative & best-in-class solutions 
  • Engage and manage regional/local and global vendor partnerships
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning & development programs, demonstrating an impact for implemented programs
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest learning & development trends & practices and their effectiveness
  • Implement AllianzU process (LMS, evaluation, reporting)

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

 

  • Bachelor degree in related field or relevant work experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in managing corporate learning
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ formal people management or demonstrated leadership through mentoring/coaching of learning advisors
  • Strong understanding of Learning programs, functional rules, processes; systems & operations
  • Proven facilitation experience. Coaching certification is a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of learning strategies, learning principles and design, practices & tools / approaches, and latest trends
  • Ability to drive change, innovation and continuous improvements
  • Project and Change Management skills and experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the English language.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and influence outcomes to drive the AllianzU / Learning and development priorities
  • Strategic business acumen to ensure that development initiatives are practical and can drive real business value
  • Excellent leadership, customer service skills, and budgeting skills
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, & motivate a team of experts
  • Proven experience in all areas of Learning (e.g. learning technology, as trainer, coach and moderator, in methods, learning transfer measurement, learning value management) and Project Management
  • Tech savvy and interest for innovative solutions bringing efficiencies
