Regional Portfolio Analyst – Financial Lines

 

Description

 

As a direct report to the Regional Head of Financial Lines the Regional Business Analyst will provide support on Financial Reporting, Portfolio Management/Steering, ERC Monitoring and help co-ordinate all TEX activities across the region.

 

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Support the RLoBH in day-to-day running of the business and strategic portfolio management. Align with claims, PPM and operations to ensure appropiate reporting, meetings and trends are established.
  • Align closely with CUO to ensure all Global CUO TEX topics are fully integrated into Regional Strategy.
  • Enhance Regional Consistency across the various countries.
  • Perform appropiate analysis and reporting on the portfolio which helps the RLoBH steer the Financial Lines Portfolio to ensure profitibility across the cycle and manage volatility.
  • Help Prepare for Smart Circles, Deep Dives and Profitibility Studies.
  • Support on key projects and topics where required.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

 

  • Professional post-graduate experience and demonstrated excellence, preferably in insurance/reinsurance, consulting or investment banking.
  • Proven experience in communication of results to stakeholders.
  • IT skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Finance and Insurance know-how (ideally P&C) as well as understanding of complexities inherent in an insurance group.
  • Quantitative financial and risk modeling know-how and skills.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Developed social skills and cross-cultural experience.
  • Presentation & communication skills.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify and initiate appropriate actions to remediate issues that can be abstract / ambiguous and follow through on their remediation.
  • University degree, preferably MBA degree.
  • Languages: English.
