We are looking for a legal specialist to support mainly data privacy matters for Allianz Asia. You will work closely with operating entities in Asia and Group Data Privacy in Munich, to ensure that the business is compliant with relevant data privacy laws and to support the supervision of applicable Group data privacy policies in Asia.


This position forms part of the Allianz Asia Regional Legal team in Singapore, and reports to Senior Regional Legal Counsel. You may also be required to support general day-to-day legal matters as part of the Allianz Asia Regional Legal team.




  • Advise on (i) data privacy related queries, including review of data privacy related content in agreements, privacy statements and notices, and (ii) data privacy risks related to partnerships, joint ventures and other M&A related matters.
  • Support the DPO in identification, management and mitigation of data privacy related risks and compliance with relevant data privacy and data protection laws in Asia.
  • Support the conduct and implementation of global data privacy governance initiatives such as privacy impact assessments, and data privacy reviews for the Asian operating entities.
  • Coordinate and monitor the implementation of global data privacy projects such as the Allianz Privacy Renewal Program.
  • Conduct data privacy trainings / workshops. 
  • Support day-to-day legal matters, such as providing legal advice to internal stakeholders, negotiate and review contracts, etc.



  • Degree in Law
  • 5 years PQE
  • 5 years of experience working in a major law firm and/or multi-national company on data privacy matters. Prior experience in the insurance industry is not required.
  • Robust knowledge in applicable data privacy laws is required (particularly in Asia and/or Europe).
  • Highly motivated and proactive lawyer. Proven team player and ability to establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues from different backgrounds, functions and cultures.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Previous experience working on data privacy matters across Asia is highly favorable.
