You will be responsible for leading the regional RC function for the Property Line of Business. You will be part of the ARC regional team and reports directly to the ARC Regional Head. You will drive the Property risk consulting strategy, principles, discipline and procedures in a culturally mixed geographical area (France, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, South Africa) to deliver a high level of service consistency throughout the region. The local team leaders and the regional technical manager report to you. You will also directly manage a team of French engineers. You will work closely with the regional Head UW Property to deliver the best services and supports to the business into the Region. In parallel, you will be part of the Global Property managers team under the lead of the ARC Property Global Head, in charge of the build-up, deployment, and follow-up of the ARC Property strategy.

 

Main tasks:

In this role you will…

  • Maintain, at regional level, excellent communications and service with Property Team Leaders, Underwriting, Distribution and Claims, participating in meetings as required to keep abreast of corporate developments and objectives. Also strengthen the client’s relationship by attending meetings with clients as needed.
  • Monitor the Property strategy and the workload as distributed within the operational units providing metrics as required to the ARC Regional Head and ARC Property Global Head.
  • Organize and chair regional Property team meetings on a regular basis. Liaise with other Property team leaders to ensure development and application of consistent global standards. Monitor the technical expertise of the team as well in line with the Regional Technical manager.
  • Steer the team according the ARC strategy including technical excellence and more digitalization and innovative services, data analysis…. Can use databases to deliver accurate analysis and is source of proposals when it comes to innovation.
  • As part of the French team, you will be a representative of ARC France to local committees (FFA, CNPP …).  

 

To be succesful in this role you will have:

 

  • Degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • At least 10 years as loss control engineer with team management experience.
  • Technical expertise / fire protection systems.
  • Knowledge of specific business sectors (automotive, pharma, chemical, datacenters …)
  • IT skills and ability to use data sources and create dashboards, requests for accurate analysis.
  • Experience working in a complex global matrix organization leading a team of professional
  • Managing people: Ability to lead and manage a team of risk consultants. Includes the ability to delegate tasks, steer team direction/goals, etc.
  • Communication: Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally.
  • Presentation skills in a varied environment
  • Able to travel periodically through the Region (France, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, South Africa)
  • English: fluent (written, spoken).
