Job Purpose/Role

Reporting to the Regional Head of Communications, in this regional role, you will have a specific focus and responsibility for the internal communications activities for AGCS across the Mediterranean region (France, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands and Africa). You will work in close coordination with the Global communications team and with stakeholders from other functions (e.g. country CEOs, Distribution, HR, Lines of Business…). In addition, you will also participate in a number of ad hoc communications projects, as well as actively contributing to digital communications and supporting media relations.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Across the region, you will.....

 

  • Coordinate internal communications for the region (France, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands and Africa) and act as internal communications officer for France and Italy : you will write regular articles/news for the intranet, for the global magazine as well as a quarterly newsletter for the Region. In addition you will create videos, organise internal events (Town Hall Meetings, Regional CEO breakfasts, dialogue with sessions for board members….) and be responsible for the management of the intranet for the region.
  • Support digital communications activities across the region: you will edit and manage the intranet, as well as regional content for the website, you will create a regular flow of social media posts
  • Measure and monitor activities including staff feedback, intranet statistics, analytics to steer digital activities, and provide effective reporting on activities
  • Work on a wide range of communications projects including administrative, operational communications activities, translations (from English to French) and deliver support for change projects
  • Support regional external communications and media relations

 


Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

 

  • You will have at least 8 years’ proven experience of internal communications and experience of event organisation
  • You will have advanced writing skills (both in French and English) and experience of writing in both languages
  • You will be able to use design software (e.g. Adobe Acrobat Pro or InDesign …)
  • You will demonstrate Digital communications skills, as well as Media relations and general communications skills
  • You will have a thorough understanding and enthusiasm for principles and techniques of communications, with a primary focus on internal communications
  • You will be able to act on your own initiative, with a strong proactive, positive “can do” attitude
  • You will be a good team worker and able to work within an international “virtual” community
