Purpose of the Role

As an Actuarial Valuation Senior Manager, you will manage and oversee the Experience Monitoring, Assumptions Setting, and Reinsurance functions under Corporate Actuarial, as well as New Business value reporting and forecasting. You will also be the point of contact in Corp Actuarial for Inforce Management activities and assigned company projects.  You should be able to work independently and be able to train and manage junior actuaries. Oversees the Reinsurance Manager and Reinsurance activities of the company, the New Business Value reporting and forecasting team, while also helping the Chief Actuary in presenting reports and performing analysis to help steer the business.

Responsibilities of the Role

1. Timely and accurate delivery of New Business Value reporting and forecasting, including providing insights and analysis of results, together with identifying and understanding business drivers to help drive the business.
2. Reinsurance management including governance, local and group reporting (transactions and treaty / facultative management, regular reinsurance portfolio studies and ad-hoc reviews).
3. Timely delivery of regular experience studies and annual assumptions setting, including management of assumptions review process up to approvals and implementation.
4. Actuarial requirements under Inforce Management initiatives and assigned company projects.

Requirements for the Role

• At least 7-10 years’ experience in Finance, Risk, or Actuarial area
• At least 2-3 years’ experience in People Management
• Strong analytical skills, and independent thinking
• Actuarial and risk qualifications, near fellowship/full membership in recognized actuarial organizations.
• Strong actuarial modelling, reporting, and forecasting experience.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
