Role Purpose:

The marketing coordinator role will help drive the marketing strategy for a number of the North America lines of business, claims and risk consulting. The coordinator is responsible for executing targeted marketing/communications plans. The coordinator will partner and collaborate with the business and the rest of the Marketing Communications team to ensure alignment with the overall business strategy and value propositions.

 

This position is responsible for helping to develop and executing dedicated market communications plans, using all marketing communication channels (content marketing, digital marketing, etc). This role requires a good understanding of both digital marketing (Mail, website, app , etc) and the business including customer needs, competitive factors, products/capabilities, industry trends, outlooks, etc. to proactively identify and develop marketing  opportunities and translate into targeted marketing initiatives and activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development and coordination of targeted marketing/communications plans using all marketing communication channels (content marketing, digital marketing etc.) that align with the overall business strategies.
  • Proactively identify and develop marketing  opportunities and translate into targeted marketing initiatives, activities and coverage reports. Proactively monitor key topics and developments across the industry.
  • Help define the value proposition, differentiators, customer experience, etc. at the product/service level within the overall AGCS value proposition. Actively participate in the development of a digital framework of product/service messaging for marketing and promotional initiatives and activities.
  • Participate in monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of marketing/communications initiatives and campaigns
  • Provide input in the development of an annual digital budget.

 

 

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and/or Communications
  • 3 – 5 years of experience and a strong corporate marketing track record with extensive hands-on marketing experience in North America.
  • Services or B2B background preferred – experience of insurance not essential, although this would be beneficial.
  • Experience of expertise-driven content marketing in a knowledge based industry would be directly relevant.
  • Demonstrable experience of new developments in digital and traditional marketing communications
  • Knowledge of theoretical and operational principles and techniques of communications for media relations and external communications, and of traditional and digital channels.
  • Journalistic skills to include copywriting, information research and analysis, content generation covering text, data and graphics, storytelling, ability to work accurately to tight deadlines.
  • Strategic orientation and understanding of commercial business environment, to support communication of AGCS/Allianz strategy
  • Competence with MS Word and PowerPoint and MS Excel. Use of Photoshop, InDesign and handling of online Content Management tools (intranet/website)
