What you do:


• Contribute to the development of a robust house view regarding real estate market prospects in the US and Canada in coordination with the Global Head of Research and the US team 

• Partner with the Global Head of Research to assist the US team in the development of real estate investment strategies based on sound market data, keen analysis and a dispassionate evaluation of market trends 

 • Provide market analysis and research support, presentations and reports to the Investment Committee, Executive Committee, CIO team, other ARE units and Allianz

Reporting To: 

• US Head of Asset Management (New York based) & Global Head of Research (London based) 

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategy: Produce and contribute to strategy papers on investment target sectors, markets and special topics for external clients

• Quarterly reporting: Produce quarterly market reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and external clients 

• Market analysis: Actively monitor and report key occupancy and national/global real estate capital market trends for reporting to Acquisition and Asset Management teams

• Data management: Lead the collection, analysis and distribution of economic, financial, demographic and real estate market data

• Forecasting: Assist in the development of 5-10 year modeled forecasts of real estate market fundamentals


What you bring:

• BA or Masters Degree in real estate, business or economics, with additional real estate experience 

• 3 to 5 years experience in investment deal research and sound understanding of macro-economic theories and capital markets

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

• Must be able to translate key research messages into succinct presentation points. Strong PC skills, specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint  

• Excellent analytical skills and outstanding attention to detail

• Adapted at working in a fast-paced environment, dealing with different issues and meeting tight deadlines

• Ability to present complex issues in an adequate format on an international platform

• Team player in an international matrix organization and also able to work independently

• Proactive self-starter, able to motivate colleagues
