What you do:

 

The Allianz Technology of America Risk Management team is a part of the Allianz Technology of America Finance team, and is responsible for developing and running the enterprise risk management framework, Our mission is to provide Risk Owners an accessible format for reporting and documenting risks within the organization, and empowering them to recognize their own risks and develop mitigation strategies. This process allows the organization to make informed, strategic decisions in consideration of related risks.

 

The Risk Consultant works closely with the Allianz Technology of America Risk Officer to assist service owners across all areas of the business in identifying and reporting risks, as well as developing and maintaining controls to mitigate the risks. A key element to the Risk Consultant job is providing education and support to Risk Owners in engaging the Risk Management framework. In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform risk activities across all of the business functions within the organization, as well as work with global team members for support.

 

A successful candidate will have background in:

 

  • Guide Risk Owners through the risk and control assessment process, including: identification, tracking, and monitoring of business and technical risks, and identification of emerging and future risks
  • Work with Risk Owners to monitor risk mitigation efforts including maintenance of controls and the relevant control framework
  • Manage and drive risk compliance, for example external SOC compliance, as well as Group-internal requirements and reporting
  • Review risk acceptances to determine if appropriate risk considerations and mitigation strategies have been considered and represented
  • Provide risk assessment guidance to colleagues preparing project and contract requests
  • Adapt risk processes to local needs and propose improvements
  • Assist Service Owners in reviewing third party engagements for risk

 

 What you bring:

 

  • Experience managing and implementing risk management programs in a consulting or in-house setting
  • Experience preparing presentations, and working closely with senior management to assist them in complying with the Risk Management framework
  • Ability to collaborate with and educate colleagues and the organization as a whole on the risk management process and framework
  • Interest and experience in identifying process improvement areas and developing solutions to address improvement areas
  • Desire to work across different teams and management levels, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to work independently, yet cooperatively in a team environment
  • Strong willingness to learn, and an interest in developing the Risk Function
  • Experience working for public audit firm and/or a technology company is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years working in finance, audit, risk management or related field, preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in experience and training
