What you do:

Independently drives financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and strategic solutions in order to maximize the business unit(s) / company's financial position.  Monitors and manages expenses as well as other financial measures of a business unit(s).  Performs a critical function by creating the annual Plan and Budget for designated business unit(s) and ensuring they are consistent with the organizations goals and objectives.  Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

 

Reporting & analysis for expense management and financial results:
• Analyze financial results, trend, and performance metrics and provide variance and root cause analysis to support business decisions.  Identify key risks and / or opportunities and strategically influence possible solutions / outcomes
• Effectively communicate results and recommendations to senior leadership through presentations
• Consult with business unit(s) on business and financial matters, including FTE management, cost metrics, compensation, capital investments, etc.
• Drive EUM (expenses under management) budgeting, forecasting and analysis for business units
• Align hierarchies and related budgets as required to maintain accurate reporting

 

Annual Financial Plan and Expense Budget:
• Manage and drive the annual financial plan and budgeting process for designated for business unit(s) and ensure they are consistent with the organization's goals and objectives
• Manages team processes and serves as technical lead to team and business partners

 

Projects:
• Consistently demonstrate success leading complex projects independently utilizing knowledge of company, industry and technical expertise
• Proactively identify and implement process improvements

 

Leadership:
• Guide and mentor less experienced teammates, potentially directing day-to-day work assignments
• Maintain and continuously develop in-depth knowledge of evolving business activities within multiple functional or business units
• Build and sustain strong, positive relationships across all levels of the organization
• Influence business partners' goals, priorities and strategies

 

What you bring:

  • 6+ years’ experience required: Accounting or financial experience; 7+ years’ experience preferred
  • Four-year degree required: Degree in Accounting, Finance or related business degree or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge; advanced Degree preferred: MBA or Masters in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting
