What you do:

Reporting to the VP, Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Sr. Associate works under the guidance of DEI leaders to support the advancement of the diversity strategy of Allianz Life by managing aspects of diversity and inclusion programs to include external partnerships, employee resource group support and budget oversight, various DEI projects, and communications of DEI programs and efforts.  This position assists the DEI team in ensuring alignment with corporate business goals, the philosophy and objectives of the DEI office, and Human Resources processes, systems and programs.  This position will provide support for the DEI Principal for benchmarking DEI best practices and external survey to assess the Company's practices and processes.


  • Provides administrative support for new and ongoing DEI programs
  • Assists with the collection of data for internal and external surveys, and responds to client and industry survey requests in support of the DEI  Principal, as needed
  • Assists with compiling information and presentation coordination
  • Assists with the implementation of policies and programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce for the Company
  • Drafts reports, presentations and memos for internal and external audiences
  • Maintains relationships with leaders and employees to exchange information and plan events
  • Works with the Company's ERGs to provide event and initiative support as well as annual budget oversight
  • Attends affinity group events and internal events
  • Coordinates and manages logistics for diversity-related sponsorships and events
  • Creates slides for reports and presentations for various DEI-related briefings
  • Conducts research, as needed, to meet DEI departmental goals
  • Performs administrative and other duties, as assigned
  • Deploys strong project management skills, including the use of MS office suite of products to include excel and ppt


What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in a large firm and/or financial services is a plus
  • Strong project management, organizational, writing and presentation skills
  • Interpersonal communication and analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and good judgment
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work harmoniously and effectively with others
  • Takes initiative and follows through on projects
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities
