What you do:

 

The Senior Security Engineer partners on a highly collaborative team supporting a wide variety of technologies such as Vulnerability scanning, WAF, CheckPoint Identity Awareness, DLP, Antivirus, cloud security, and anti-malware. This individual provides a key role in the creation, implementation, administration, monitoring and oversight of processes and technical measures. In coordination with key stakeholders, promotes the policy objectives of Allianz SE and Allianz Technology of America as they relate to the application, operation, and governance of cyber security. Provides guidance and consultative services in the creation, implementation and operation of security technology, processes and controls requirements to ensure the appropriate cyber security posture.

  • Manages and optimizes security tools.
  • Assist in the development and operations of security consultative services as provided by the IT Security & Risk Management program.
  • Provide consultative services and oversight to projects and initiatives involving change to ensure the appropriate cyber security posture is maintained.
  • Lead in the development and enforcement of cyber security policies, standards and processes.
  • Identify and analyze cyber security risk and develop requirements, controls and tests needed to ensure the appropriate level of cyber security risk.
  • Utilize communication, analytic and problem resolution skills to help resolve security incidents and forensically identify gaps in security leading to the incident.
  • Identifies opportunities and implements continuous improvements to IT Security & Risk Management program.
  • Performs and participates in investigative processes and requests relating to cyber security.

 

What you bring:

 

  • 6+ years of experience in Information Technology with 5+ years in cyber security related position.
  • Security control development and operations experience and understanding of security risk management required.
  • BS  degree required: Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field; or specialized training and equivalent work experience.
  • One of the following strongly desired: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Manager, or Global Info Assurance Cert (GIAC).
