The Head of Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) is a critical leadership position, will report to the COO of Allianz Technology of America and is responsible for overseeing the overall operation and performance of the Enterprise Project Management Office. We are seeking a visionary leader with a proven track record of delivering complex projects and programs in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving results, a strong understanding of project management best practices, and the ability to lead and mentor a talented team of EPMO professionals. In addition to technical expertise, this role requires executive presence, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Accountability to effectively lead multiple teams to deliver a $150 Million project portfolio in a global control environment.

Executive level presence who builds strong relationships across all levels of the organization (Group, Branch, and OE) to ensure quality delivery of strategic projects and platforms that enable both Global and OE technology related initiatives. Drives transparency to project and portfolio risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure delivery objectives are met.

 

What you do

  • Represent the EPMO with executive presence, building strong relationships and collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the global organization.
  • Lead the EPMO team to ensure the successful delivery of projects and programs, meeting or exceeding all time, cost, quality, and scope objectives.
  • Work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to prioritize project demands, align resources, and resolve project execution issues in a timely and effective manner. Ensures availability of resourcing for end-to-end project execution
  • Manages the demand intake process for standard, non-standard and project services for Allianz Technology of America operating entities.
  • Collaborate effectively with all entities, departments, and partners across the organization to ensure that projects and programs are aligned with the overall business strategy and objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select Allianz Technology projects, based on business strategy, business case calculation/financials and requested approvals
  • Develop and implement consistent, best-in-class EPMO processes and methodologies across all entities to support effective demand management, project execution, portfolio management, and value generation.
  • Establish and maintain robust metrics and reporting to provide insight into the EPMO's performance and the business value generated.
  • Plans, monitors, controls and reports Allianz Technology of America’s portfolio performance, portfolio risk and escalates issues if necessary; initiates corrective action and/or recommendations
  • Work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to prioritize project demands, align resources, and resolve project execution issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Mentor and coach, the EPMO team to support their professional growth and development, and to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

 

What you bring

 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, MBA is a plus
  • 15+ years of relevant work experience in either Program, Project or Portfolio Management
  • Previous experience in managing a large portfolio of project (over $100MN)
  • Excellent ability to understand architectural and technical aspects of projects
  • Previous experience working with onshore and offshore consulting firms on large scale and complex projects
  • Prior experience and demonstrated strength in building global relationships and a collaborative team environment
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff and to ensure accomplishment of goals
