What you do:

Responsible for leading the coordination and collaboration for driving sales strategies through all Distribution Channels as well as providing education on Allianz Defined Outcome ETFs. This individual provides thought leadership, ideation of concepts and sales strategies to build, grow sales results in this space and to influence industry trends. This individual should have a sophisticated understanding of portfolio management, investment management, modern portfolio management theory and can build educational concepts and proof points for ETFs that will resonate with Financial Professionals. They drive the development of advisor level tools, resources and materials to educate and show the value of Defined Outcome ETFs and insurance products in efficient portfolio construction, to increase the knowledgebase across all channels of Distribution. The position requires deep technical knowledge of wealth management concepts, investment management, Allianz Life products including Buffered ETFs, and Distribution to allow for the design and execution of appropriate technical, product, and sales strategies for Allianz Distribution Partners. They will develop and drive the educational strategies and concepts to enable Distribution to better meet the needs of the evolving advisor force and consumer needs. This individual will lead the research, development, and intel to drive support needs in the ETF space by collaborating with Marketing, ALFS, Life, FMO, AIM, ASA and the rest of DSD.

 

Research and provide Distribution with trends, intel and concepts that lead to the development of educational advisor content, presentations and strategies that convey a blended asset management story utilizing risk management solutions as part of a client's wealth management portfolio.

 

Build relationships through all channels to gain understanding of business needs and how Allianz can generate Defined Outcome ETF sales. Develop relationships with targeted firms (non traditional wholesaling), wholesalers, relationship managers and centers of influence with broker dealers, RIAs, and FMOs. Be a subject matter expert available to support both wholesaling teams as well as advisors. Needs Analysis- Work with Distribution stakeholders to identify sales needs, training and other opportunities. Work with various internal and External Distribution partners to determine opportunities and drive sales within firms.

 

Research, develop, deliver and drive a strategy to build a strong insurance/asset management story that will drive results. Work with the Advanced Strategies Team/DSD to communicate and drive this message with the AZL ETF Specialists, ASA RVPs, and external sales as well as sales consultants within firms in order to coordinate an effective implementation of a sales and marketing strategy. Provide feedback on strategic direction for all aspects of the strategy. Collaboration- Work with various internal and external Distribution partners to determine opportunities, strategies and approach to drive sales within firms.

 

What you bring:

- 6-7 years of experience required

- Strong investment knowledge and/or experience working in the advisory market place

- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to communicate across various levels and cross functional teams

- Proven track record of coordination, management and execution of projects

- Ability to design and execute business plans within a complex organizational structure

- Four year degree required

- FINRA Series 6/7, 63, 65/66 and State insurance license for life, annuity and variable products

 

Ability to attend evening business functions.  Ability and desire to travel occasionally throughtout the year.  Job may require periods of stooping, bending, sitting or standing.
