What you do


The Product Owner in a global and agile environment is responsible for maximizing the customer value of the product resulting from the team’s work. You will be solely responsible for the creation and prioritizing the Product Backlog. Through this role, you will:

 

  • Define the vision of the product in close collaboration with the different stakeholders across multiple hierarchical levels. 
  • Understand the customers, the market, the competition and must be able to identify trends, balancing opportunities compared to others. 
  • Provide regular information about the current work status as well as transparency towards the client on future work steps of the Scrum team. 
  • Ensure delivery of high quality product increments and integrate iteratively feedback from customers and stakeholders to ensure continuous product improvement.
  • Transparent identification and provision of solutions in case of product barriers.
  • Identify and highlight to your manager any opportunity of process improvement. 
  • Contribute to the implementation of global platforms and specific solutions required on the scope allocated to you, meaning:
    - Gather and harmonize business needs and enhancements: collect and challenge the needs, facilitate workshops, define level of priority, deep dive if needed, translate it into functional requirements.
    - Support the analysis of the “As Is” situation /problems and propose possible solutions to achieve objectives: together with IT team, define solutions, validate them with Business and send them through validation process.
    - Follow-up developments, test and support Business Units’ onboarding
    - Constantly monitor and report on progress to the management and all stakeholders
  • Contribute to project management on your scope:
    - Create and maintain comprehensive functional documentation 
    - Manage and document all risks, issues and decisions.


What you bring

 

  • 5 years of experience as Product Owner in an Agile environment. 
  • Experience in business needs and information system management.
  • High level expression of solutions orientation and high degree of abstraction for problem cases. Solid analytical abilities.
  • High flexibility and teamwork skills in an international and intercultural environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to foster relationships with peers and other functions.
  • Highly motivated, dynamic and self-steering.
  • Degree in business management or IT.
  • Insurance knowledge “as a plus”.
  • Fluent in English.
