Who will you be joining? 

 

The Risk Controlling SE (RCSE) team is responsible for the oversight of the legal entity Allianz SE, of its holding activities, and of the Allianz Holding & Treasury sub-segment. The Werksstudent position offers a chance to support regular quarterly risk closing and validation procedures, to develop a sound understanding of the Group's internal model dynamics and to get a wide overview of risk and finance topics.

 

How can you make an impact? 

  • Support the regular quarterly closing process for Allianz Holding (AZ SE) incl.:
  • Analysis of the Internal Model Credit Risk Capital and exposure movements;
  • Analysis of Concentration and Credit Default Risk for the Solvency II Standard Model;
  • Communication with business units and departments regarding Limit Reporting (e.g.  Reinsurance Limits, Obligor Limits etc.). 
  • Further development and maintenance of an integrated reporting tool for AZ SE used to feed data into e.g. ORSA Report, quarterly Closing Reports and Quarterly Reports for the Risk Committee, SFCR/RSR.
  • Support for different Internal Model validation activities.
  • Support with respect to daily business tasks in the quantitative risk area (risk analysis, development of small analysis tools in excel).

 

What are you made of? 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

 

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in a related field of study (such as business administration, finance; financial mathematics; actuarial science; mathematics; statistics; econometrics; economics or similar).
  • Strong command of Excel and analysis tools
  • Ability to program (e,g, VBA, Python) is a plus
  • Good English language skills; German is a plus
  • Previous of Solvency II is preferred
  • Previous experience in business related functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
  • Requirement for internship and working student positions is the enrollment in a university – or (for an internship) a gap year

Preferred Qualifications 

 

  • Experience in the insurance/banking/risk management industry is preferred 
  • Able to clearly communicate findings within the RCSE as well as with other departments in Group Risk
  • Attentive to details, thoroughness and able to grasp new concepts quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to work indecently on quantitative projects
