Who will you join?

 

At Internal Audit we make a difference - as a trusted partner we protect and improve the organization with professional excellence, state-of-the-art technology and passion for people development. At Group Audit, we collaborate with and lead the Internal Audit functions of the Allianz Group operating entities (OEs) to support the Board of Management and Audit Committee in the supervision and assessment of the Internal Control System. Also, we perform audit services to Allianz SE and other Allianz entities.

You will be part of the Practice IT and Operations at Group Audit and responsible for audit projects, focusing on technology-enabled business operations, emerging technology trends, data governance and management, and artificial intelligence. You will add value to the business by identifying business risks at an early stage and improving the internal control system.

 

How can you make an impact?

 

 You will:

 

  • Design, lead and execute technology-specific audits including topics such as technology systems, IT projects, and environments, evaluating the effectiveness of controls and risk management practices

  • Identify risk-focused audit areas, assess business processes, workflows, transactions, and control frameworks to determine deficiencies and vulnerabilities

  • Analyze audit results, formulate clear and actionable recommendations, and lead closing meetings with auditees

  • Ensure proper documentation of audit work performed, including detailed workpapers, and write comprehensive audit reports and following up on the implementation of the agreed actions

  • Develop business relationships and encourage knowledge sharing within the global Internal Audit community to implement business and technology solutions

  • Manage relationships with auditees, handling challenging situations, and delivering conclusions in a diplomatic and professional manner

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, providing timely updates on audit progress and outcomes

  • Stay informed about emerging technological trends and developments and assess their impact on business operations and risk management practices

 

What are you made of?

 

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology auditing or technology risk management, preferably within the financial services industry

  • Understanding of technology, associated risks, control frameworks, and leading industry practices

  • Understanding of auditing principles and techniques, and risk management concepts

  • High level of integrity, reliability and responsibility

  • Open to change and new (technical) developments, innovative and agile

  • Passion for people, are collaborative, empathetic, solution-oriented and curious

  • Ownership, work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Strong analytical with the ability to identify risks, evaluate controls, and provide practical recommendations

  • Strong communication skills - in German and English, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner

  • Proficient in using audit management software, data analytics tools and techniques, and Microsoft Office suite

  • Open to travel

  • Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP) are a plus
