Job Purpose/Role

In this role, you will work full time on systems and applications within the Insurance Product and Pricing domain. You will embrace agile working with minimal supervision to carry out tasks in the lifecycle of software applications: analysis, development, testing and support. Your main focuses will be on the analysis, design and implementation of new features and supporting system's availability, development, debugging, maintenance, upgrading and support of packaged software applications developed in AGCS (as part of Allianz Technology) and provided by our suppliers. You will work with product owners, architects and users to design and develop features and enhancements that improve our users' experience. You will be reporting to the Technical Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Work within our agile set up to both develop software in an efficient manner. You will work with, train and coach others
• Assess system capabilities and undertake actions to improve system stability, including cloud infrastructure running
• Support applications in our landscape, providing expertise for global service desk and our users, respond to incidents within SLA timeframes
• Support system owners with all audit and security topics
• Actively work towards efficient deliveries; Advance the team towards Test Driven approaches and automations
• Actively mentor and train team within areas of expertise and coach the team through in their learning journey

Key Requirements/Skills/Experiences

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field such as IT, Computer Science, Exact Sciences or similar
• Several years of working experience in a large scale system environment
• Proven experience and excellent skills in Java along with a good knowledge of python 
• Experience in working with relational and / or non-relational databases (e.g. PostgRes, MongoDB) in a practical application environment
• Awareness and knowledge of writing applications for cloud technologies and container environments: AWS, OpenShift, Google Cloud, Azure
• Proven experience with data management technologies, modelling and analysis as well as working with BI solutions
• Ability to embrace agile working and work in a complex and international matrix organization with multicultural teams
• Fluent English is required; any other language would be beneficial
