We are seeking to recruit a dynamic, driven, and analytical Investment Analyst to join our Investment Team in Munich.

Investment Analytics and Positioning is a team within the Investment function of Allianz Global Investors and is responsible for performing holistic and independent analysis of AllianzGI’s Investment Strategies. The analysis delivered by the team enables our senior management to steer the investment strategy of portfolios and ensures investment production quality.  The team has presence in London, Frankfurt, Munich, London and Hong Kong. 

Role & Responsibilities

• Design and develop quantitative analyses for supervising the production quality, performance drivers of AllianzGI investment strategies across different asset classes – Equity, Fixed Income, Multi Asset and Private Markets
• Develop and maintain interactive, outcome oriented analytical tools by bringing together sophisticated datasets from different sources and establishing a stable, scalable data infrastructure that ensures data quality and consistency
• Prepare investment strategy analyses and reports for senior management with high attention to detail
• Drive data and analytics projects

Experience / Qualifications and Skills

• Masters, or Ph.D. in a quantitative field, e.g., mathematics, quantitative finance, computational finance. CFA certification preferred
• 5+ years’ experience in developing interactive tools for analysing investment strategies - performance, risk, attribution, style, peer groups etc.
• Excellent analytical skills with proven ability in translating complex investment data into powerful insights
• Strong Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Databricks skills demonstrated through several years of work experience and professional-level certification
• Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively within and across the teams
• Good interpersonal skills and proficiency in English is essential, German is a plus.
